Road signs fall into warning (red-bordered triangle), priority, prohibition (red-bordered circle), mandatory (blue circle), information and service signs. Shape and colour hint at meaning: a triangle warns, a red-ringed circle forbids, a plain blue circle mandates a direction or manoeuvre.
